Meet Bill
In an effort to help you get to know more about me, below are some of my "stats":
Together with my wife Barbara, we moved to Sandwich in 1985; and it's been home to us ever since. We are the proud parents of three daughters, two of which received the benefit of an excellent education in the Sandwich school system.
I feel deeply connected to our community; and I want to insure our quality of life. I am currently a member of or actively involved with:
- The Trustees of Sandwich Beaches
- Member of the Sandwich Arts Alliance
- The Kiwanis Club of Sandwich
- The Bicycle and Pedestrian Trails Committee
and I've been:
- A Member of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors
- Past Chairman of the Golf Advisory Committee
- Past Chairman of the Economic Development Committee
- Member of the Visitors Service Board
- Member of the Town Lands Committee
EDUCATION & CAREER DETAILS
I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree from American International College in Springfield, MA; and my Masters in Landscape Architecture from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. I also studied architecture for two years at the Boston Architectural College.
For 12 years I was a principal and partner in Scape Unlimited, Inc with offices in Springfield, MA and Hartford, CT. I was the Cape Cod Manager of Landscape Architecture for 6 years with BSC Group. I then formed Abbellire, Inc with offices on Cape Cod and Worcester, MA; having served as the Principal and Owner for 11 years, until I sold it to Diversified Technology Consultants, where I stayed on as the Manager of MA operations for 2 years.
In 2007, I helped found and served as a Director of The First Tee of the Seacoast, Inc.; a non-profit, that became a leader in teaching golf and life skills to underprivileged children; and served as the Manager of Landscape Architecture with Ernst Land Design, Inc for high end residential clients on Nantucket.
Today, I'm a published author, and I work on projects of interest as a team member in private and public interest.
